ARE YOU INTERESTED IN CONFIRMATION, RECEPTION, OR REAFFIRMATION?
These are the rites of the church that are administered by the episcopate (bishops).
The Rt. Rev. Mark Van Koevering will be with us June 25th.
In the sacramental rite of CONFIRMATION, baptized persons are “confirmed” in the Christian faith with the laying on of hands by the bishop. This is as a way of publicly affirming your baptism and of ritually acknowledging a deeper, more mature faith commitment.
RECEPTION is for those who have been confirmed in other denominations by a bishop in the historic succession (Roman Catholic, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, or Eastern Orthodox) and wish to be received into the Episcopal Church by the bishop.
REAFFIRMATION is for anyone who has been baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal Church (or any member church in the Anglican Communion) and wishes to recommit themselves to the Christian life of faith and reaffirm their baptismal covenant with the bishop.
Please contact our parish administrator, Malia ([email protected]) if you are interested in:
